Laguna madre, Kenedy Ranch, sands flats (15_3). Preserved material with formaldehyde. Surface: Lyngbya sp. - 80%, Schizothrix sp. - 10%, rest - 10%. Slimy layer below the surface: Coleofasciculus chthonoplastes - 80%,, Schizothrix - 10%, rest - 10%. Empty sheaths from Lyngbya sp. observed. 2 mm deep: Coleofasciculus chthonoplastes - 90%, Schizothrix - 5%, rest - 5%. Note: both Lyngbya sp. and Coleofasciculus ssp. are motive, and probably light and salinity sensitive. Thickness of the mat is ~2 mm.

Laguna madre, Kenedy Ranch, sands flats (15_3). Overgrown mat in the plastic tray (3 weeks). Lyngbya sp. took 50% on the surface, 30% occupied by Coleofasciculus sp. The rest 20% have taken by other cyanos. This mat was thinnest observed (less than 0.5 mm). In second layer from surface Coleofasciculus sp. was a dominant form.

Lyngbya sp. is dominant with 50% of occurrence in the sample, Synechococcus sp. took ~40%, the rest of the species - 10%, in the 1 mm deep. Note:representatives of Coleofasciculus ssp. were in the little abundance to compare with the another samples.
