Oscillatoria limosa Forms long, entandled robust net-like mats in the liquid media. Filaments long, massive, often without sheaths, but sometimes with colorless mucilagious envelopes, 15-21 um wide. Trichomes slightly attenuated to the ends, occasionally with swollen part at the middle. Cell very short with granulated cytoplasm, with visible succesive division, slightly constricted. Apical cells with thin caliptra, or with widened cell wall. Taxonomis note: Fits well in the description of Oscillatoria limosa, confirmation of the habitat and location should be checked. May be independant lineage.
