Comparing ITS1-2 nrDNA sequence data to BLAST searches couldn"t help: by ITS1-2 it closer (to 96%) to Schistidium pulchrum, S. sinensiapocarpum, S. austrosibiricum, S. scabripilum and some else. With S. frigidum and S. confertum – 92% (two latter species are most similar in their anatomical and morphological features to our specimen). At trnL-F our Schistidium is similar to 99% with many Schistidium species and
