Prairie on rolling terrain with sandy soil & several mature, spreading Quercus alba. Dominants +_ extensive pathes included Aquilegia, Dodecatheon, Podophyllym, Pteridium, Opuntia, Heuchera, Lithospermum, Anemone, Ranunculus & Pedicularis. Ephemeral mosses, including Physcomitrium, Bruchia & Pleuridium, on gopher mounds.
