Prairie on rolling terrain with sandy & several mature, spreading Quercus alba. Dominants extensive patches included Aquailegia, Dodecatheon, Podophyllum, Pteridium, Opuntia, Heuchera, Lithospermum, Anemone, Ranunculus&Pedicularis. Ephemeral mosses, including Physcomitrium, Bruchia&Pleurridium, on gopher mounds.
