Laguna madre, Kenedy Ranch, sands flats (15_3). Preserved material with formaldehyde. Surface: Lyngbya sp. - 80%, Schizothrix sp. - 10%, rest - 10%.Slimy layer below the surface: Coleofasciculus chthonoplastes - 80%,, Schizothrix - 10%, rest - 10%. Empty sheaths from Lyngbya sp. observed.2 mm deep: Coleofasciculus chthonoplastes - 90%, Schizothrix - 5%, rest - 5%.Note: both Lyngbya sp. and Coleofasciculus ssp. are motive, and probably light and salinity sensitive. Thickness of the mat is ~2 mm.
